Developmental Language Disorder Awareness Day 2023
On Friday 20th October we celebrated Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) Awareness Day in school. Ballykellly Speech and Language Class are passionate about promoting awareness of DLD. This is a very common but often hidden condition affecting our children. A child with DLD will have difficulty undestanding language and with their use of language. It is estimated that 2 out of 30 children in a class will have DLD. With the correct support these children will flurish alongside their peers.
