November in Nursery

30th Nov 2020

During November we were learning about ‘Autumn’ and ‘The Farm’. We enjoyed role play as the Greengrocer. We  were shopping and weighing all the fruit and vegetables in our Nursery. We used a juicer and made our own apple and carrot juice with Ruth. We were driving the tractors and transporting some bark and clay down to Rainbow Cottage. Using the wheelbarrows and rakes we helped to tidy away the leaves.

The weather was lovely and we enjoyed lots of play time outdoors. We loved riding on the hobby horses and we were practising throwing at the target as well.

As we were looking for Autumn treasures we explored the school grounds and found lots! We had lots of fun collecting Autumn leaves and using these at our art table.

We planted our daffodil bulbs and we put them into the greenhouse. We are taking turns to water all of our plants and flowers while we are playing outside. During windy days outside we had lots of fun with our kites and the parachute.

We are enjoying having our dinner each day with our friends. We take turns to be the Dinner Helper and serve the food to our friends in nursery. We love wearing the special Dinner Helper apron and carrying the plates. We sometimes go to the Canteen and have our dinner and packed lunch in the main school.

Jo Jingles classes started as well and we met Stephanie and Jo!   We were playing drums, maracas and claves. Each week we sang different songs and have lots of fun. We love the ‘Sleeping Bunnies’ song at the end of the class.
