P7GC Term 1

16th Dec 2019

P7GC have had a busy first term in what is their final year at Ballykelly Primary School. The children have been working hard in both Numeracy and Literacy in class, whilst they have also enjoyed looking at our World Around Us topic, ‘Location, Location, Location.’ They produced excellent projects based on the counties of Northern Ireland and it was great to see the time and effort put into completing these at home.

A number of children in the class have also recently sat their exams for the AQE (transfer test). They have put a lot of work into preparing themselves for the papers and should be commended for this.

Earlier in the term, P7GC visited the RADAR Centre in Belfast along with P7JS. The children were provided with lots of useful information on issues such as online safety, fire safety and road safety. Everyone had a great day out and the children were great ambassadors for the school.

In the lead up to Christmas, the children have benefitted from a number of activities, both inside and outside of school. We were invited along to Limavady Grammar School’s production of ‘Grease’ and Limavady High School’s production of ‘Oliver.’ Both performances were fantastic and the children thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to watch them. We also organised a Secret Santa amongst all the P7 children and the excitement was clear to see when it came to opening the presents!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!!!
