P3/4CL have had a busy Term 1! We started with our whole school Core Book ‘Here We Are’ and then moved onto lots of activities based around the book ‘The Treasure Hunt’ by Nick Butterworth. We even wrote our own treasure hunt clues for another class and solved their clues too to find the treasure!
As part of our World Around Us topic, we learnt how to read and understand maps. We love singing the 7 continents song! We did some Orienteering and loved using the dibbers to record at each position.
In Numeracy we have been learning all about money and we have enjoyed games and activities where we have to make amounts of money or find the correct change. We even did a money hunt outside in the forest!
In our Forest School lessons, we made compasses, sorted using Venn diagrams and made beautiful Christmas trees using materials from the forest. We used these to make Christmas cards for our family and for our friends in Cornfield Care Centre.
On a Wednesday, we have been continuing to practise our Spanish with Rebeca and work on our Music skills with Miss Una.
We all took part in the Christmas Show- speaking, acting and singing. We made Lisa and Miss Lockington proud when we performed.
