Term 3 2025
We have all been very busy in P3/4CL!
After Easter, we started our new topic “The Famous Five”. We have learnt about Florence Nightingale, Louis Braille, Alexander Graham Bell, Marie Curie and Roald Dahl. In art lessons, we had great fun making Florence Nightingale nurses and lamps. We learnt how to represent our names in Braille and we even got to use a Braille typewriter and looked at Braille books. We worked together to make string telephones and they actually worked! In ICT, we created a PowerPoint about one of our famous people.
In Numeracy we have been learning all about measuring and we have been using metre sticks, rulers, balance scales and measuring jugs in our practical activities. We loved measuring the sticks in the forest. We invited our parents and carers to the ‘NumeraSee’ parent workshop and all had fun learning together.
In Literacy we wrote amazing creative stories and read them to our little friends in other classes. We also enjoyed our Shared Book “Look up”. We each shared our own hobby with the class – what a range of hobbies and interests we have!
We enjoyed racing on our Sports Day and our trip to the Ulster American Folk Park. We also went to visit our friends in Cornfield Care Centre and sang lovely old ‘sunny’ songs to brighten their day!
Miss Lockington, Ciara and Denise have promised us a party in June because we have all worked very hard this year! We are all looking forward to our summer holidays soon!
Happy holidays from P3/4CL!
