Third term in Primary Four

15th Jun 2021

Primary Four

Well the last term in Primary Four has flown by very quickly. We really did have to upskill a lot in a few months to complete our Seesaw activities from Christmas to Easter but it is great to be back at school now and complete all our lessons in class.

During our third term from April to June we completed mathematical work on shapes, angles and money. Our literacy topics included Compound words, Plurals and Narrative Writing. We planted, grew and watered flowers and made grass caterpillars associated with our topic ‘How does your garden grow?’ We made good use of our playtrail and Fishmongers' trail and we even had a nice relaxing Sports Day in the sun. Although there were fewer events and no trophies this year we got plenty of stickers and an ice-cream to make the day special.

Despite all the interruptions we continued on with our Shared Education project and made some lovely things for the residents of Cornfield Nursing Home.  In the last few weeks we have finished planting and delivering some lovely flowers.

Many of our class are looking forward to the summer scheme and all the fun activities planned. We’ll put some photographs up as soon as possible to show us all having fun.

It has been a very interesting, challenging and in many ways an exciting year in Primary Four. The children have really progressed and are ready for all the challenges that will come in Primary Five and beyond.

Good luck boys and girls and thank you for such a lovely year.
